Adam+Chrissy [What happens in Rm 5, stays in Rm 5]

You had to be kidding him. Eddingborough School for Boys. Here he was. And, the dormitories were nothing better than ramshack apartments. The gold numeral that indicated which room was which was falling off of the door. The little rusted knocker below it wasn't much better. With a little bit of hunting though, Adam found room five and jammed his key in the door.

He didn't have time to be nervous anymore-- he had been nervous all day about his first day of school. Well, now it was evening with gray clouded skies outside. It was certain to storm tonight. Was that an omen or what? The first night in his new school, with a new room mate and it was going to storm all night. Even worse yet, it was going to be his first night away from his mother, and it was going to storm.

But, Adam had known for the past week that he wasn't going to be sleeping at night for a long time.

Converse sneakers shuffled through the open door and Adam glanced around his new room. It was neat and.... clean? Did he have the dorm to himself, maybe? However, seeing a picture of a family on one of the nightstands, next to a miniaturized first-aid kit told Adam otherwise. So, he did have a room mate, but a neat freak for a room mate?

Oh, hell no.

Adam should have assumed he'd get someone like what he assumed. Someone stuck up, someone who probably kisses his own ass. (Well, Adam just didn't realize that if he was to have a dorm to himself, he would have a room mate with that kind of personality.) Adam bet that this kid was a neat freak who fretted over every point he ever lost on his math quiz. Oh, bother. Adam was screwed.

He walked further into the room, and sat down his duffel on the unoccupied bed. Why were all the walls blank? Didn't this guy know what playboy was for? What all the nude pictures were for? Adam blinked, and shook his head to himself. It looked like whoever his room mate was-- Chris, or something like that, not here. Adam didn't take into account of the crack of light under the bathroom door, which clearly spoke of its occupancy. Adam simply kicked off his shoes and pulled out a magazine from his bag, along with some scotch tape. Standing on the bed, Adam seized the tape between his teeth and skimmed through the magazine. He studied the pages carefully before he moaned quietly to himself.

Oh yes. Jessica Alba was going to be the first naked model on the wall. She would be lovely to fantasize over later tonight when he was getting off with his hand. Oh, she would do just fine. Adam taped it up, long wise so that he could stare at her boobs while he laid in bed, and then looked through the rest of the pictures. He picked out three more posters that he seemed to be fit enough to be on his wall.

Christian was early. Of course, his plane had arrived a few hours earlier than planned. Deciding not to wander around a foreign country he headed straight for the school. The doors where locked when he got there. So, he ventured out to see the scenery. The school was large, much more than he had imagined, and as he shuffled around the campus he got more and more homesick. He wouldn't be able to go home unless he took a plane, and that was something he wished to avoid for a while. Not to mention, his parent's disappointment when he returned in two day's worth a time. Christian lied his sweater down before sitting under the safety of one of the trees. Intending to think for a while, and gaze at the rising sun he sat quietly, unnoticed under the shrubbery. Somehow he fell asleep for, god knows, how many hours under that tree. When he awoke the sun was high in the sky, and luckily the doors unlocked.

The school was still, and though the clocks read twelve not a soul was present in the main hall. Great, either he was still really early or really late. Christian quickly pulled out a map of the school, he had gotten with his brochure, and hurried to the section labeled first year dormitories. Number five, number five he thought his eyes glancing over rusted labels. To think, these rooms used over and over through the years. As old as the school, and as dirty as it had been left. Most teenage boys weren't know to be very tidy either. Christian could only hope his room mate wouldn't be the worst of them all, and he quietly assured himself everything would be fine.

Pushing the key into dorm five he held his breath as the door swung inwards. The sheets were stripped off the beds, and stacked and folded in the corner. Setting his stuff carefully on the bed to the left he began to unpack. First gently setting a photo of him, and his family, on the small dresser. Quickly, and efficiently he dusted both sides of the room and put the sheets tidily back on. Surely, his room mate could appreciate a tidy room as a welcome. Grabbing a baggie labeled bathroom supplies Christian began into the bathroom. Closing the door he squirted cleaner into the toilet, which had to be filled with a year's worth of bacteria, and began to unpack his things. It was half way through this process that he heard the rusty hinges of the dorm door swing open in welcoming. Dropping the toilet scrubber, and yanking off his gloves he began out. However, paused to quickly was his hands. He couldn't shake hands with his room mate after cleaning the toilet, could he?

Happily opening the door Chris saw a body sitting on his bed looking at a magazine. What could it be about? Not entirely observant Christian made his approach asking, "What are you reading?" He paused, however, when he saw tape on the edge of the bed and pictures pasted up on the wall. At first, Chris stood silently enough. His moving body stood completely frozen in mid-step and his mouth gaping wide open. "What is that?" he asked finally after collecting himself. Denial and blood rushing up to his face all at once. It couldn't be a naked lady on the wall? It wasn't. It had to be a lie. Blinking once or twice Christian wondered if he was having a nightmare. It had to be so. Other ways his room mate at a prestigious school wouldn't be pasting pictures of woman in the nude on the wall. It just, wasn't true.

Adam moaned once or twice more as he glanced at the pictures. This was a new issue that he had bought right before leaving that day. So, all the naked bodies were new and foreign to him-- so it was just that much more sexy. Hell, Adam could easily get off right now, if he wanted. He was getting a little turned on as he glanced down at the pages of women. All he had to do now for it to be complete was to imagine easch of the women in his actual room with him. Oh, with their big breasts and naked legs. Their naked, long, sexy legs. Their full breasts. Adam shuddered to himself, and reached for his waist. It was all habit by now. Sometimes, he didn't even realize what he was doing when he started. He was such a boy. But so was his room mate. He would understand, wouldn't he? Besides, it wasn't like he was in the room with him anyway.

Anyway, the zipper on his jeans easily pulled way to reveal the rather comical spongebob print, but also the not-so comical buldge behind the thin fabric. He shuddered once more before he stopped cold. The door from the bathroom creaked loudly, and Adam fumbled to place the magazine in his lap, a picture of a big-breasted woman sitting face up to cover his embarrasment. Adam's cheeks were fairly rosied and his breathing was hitched. Here he was, less than ten minutes at this new school and he was already bothered and hot. But, even worse, he had been caught in the act. How embarrasing.

"Um..." He murmured, thinking of flipping over the magazine but-- no. No. Then, this guy could see his erection. That'd be worse. "It's Playboy." Adam managed finally. He chanced a look up at his roomate through his hair and blinked. The guy's eyes were glazed over. Oh, shit. So, he was a conservative ass too. This wasn't going to go well. He closed the magazine quickly and for a brief moment, his state was revealed. But, he quickly pressed the magazine closer to him-- pressing himself down in the process. Adam couldn't contain the shudder that came with the movement. Stupid hormonal boy.

"I'm Adam Cayden," He said quickly, offering the hand he had used to push down the magazine. Damn, it was tempting to "push" it down again-- it felt so good. "Sorry to barge in and all. I thought you weren't in." First impressions-- Adam hated them.

Christian's throat tightened as he recognized what the boy was up to. Cold sweat breaking out on his forehead, for he couldn't tear his eyes from the posters. Finally looking away and concentrating on the kid's face only Chris gave him a tight smile. "Yes," he agreed quietly. It was only natural for boys to do such things, wasn't it? Chris looked at his hand debating whether not to shake or not.

If the kid was doing that sort of thing then his hand had obviously been in places Chris didn't want to have on his own. Then, it would save a whole lot of crap later if he just shook. Take one for the team, was what they'd say. Christian walked just close enough to reach out and grab his hand. Taking it carefully in his Christian hoped it his wasn't clammy with sweat. He hoped the boy didn't notice his tight smile turning sloppy. He wanted to look away from the boy's face, but he feared his attention would be grasped by the posters again.

Letting go of his hand after a nerve wrecking thirty-seconds Christian awkwardly let it fall to his side. How he desired to scrub it off with a wipe immediately. However, that would be insulting, wouldn't it? "Oh, that is fine. I'm Christian Andrews," he said nodded his gaze cast away from the boy and his posters. "I hope we can get along," he said now sneaking a glance at the embarrassed boy on the bed.

Chris dejectedly turned away from Adam and crossed the room. He reached into his bag. He quietly pulled out a wipe from his unpacked bag and scrubbed his hand with his back turned to Adam. Hopefully he wouldn't notice. Grabbing two more things he began toward the bathroom, but tripped over his shuffling feet. Quickly retrieving shampoo, and looking over his toothbrush in silent horror he escaped into the bathroom. Forgetting to close the door behind him cranked the sink's hot water all the way up. Shakily rinsing the dirty bristles under the water. Why had he taken it out of the bag, when he knew he was clumsy?

The toothbrush began to shake under his grasp, and it he absent mindlessly dropped it in the sink. Staring straight ahead at his reflection in the mirror. His mind swirling with long, bare legs. Other gruesome parts that made him nauseous. Feeling sick Christian began toward the toilet. It smelled like lemons, from the cleaner. It soothed him as cold sweat continued to break out across his forehead. Pain, pleasure, and the desire was all a mystery, but painfully left him confused and withdrawn.

Adam could sense immediately that he had been caught by the boy's tight smile. It was awkward, and it looked a little frightened. Shit. Adam's face flushed a deeper red, and he could feel himself wilt in his jeans. Well, that would do the trick. He'd be certain to take care of himself later, when he was alone in the shower maybe, but not now. He wasn't in that state of mind any more, even with the naked women around him. Arousal gone.

He was surprised that the boy even shook his hand, though. It was clearly something that the other debated about, but he did pull it off in the end. When his hand was released, Adam let it fall easily to his leg, but not near to his crotch. It wouldn't take much to stir him up again. Adam bit his lip, and stared down at the ground, before the other boy. He nodded slowly. "Me too." Yeah, like they could get along after a meeting like that. Adam doubted it. God, First impressions. They always made Adam feel so damn self-concious. "Um, these are okay, right?" He asked meekly, gesturing to the posters. He felt so god damn tiny now. And stupid. "I can take them down if you want."

By the time the sentence was barely whispered past his mind, Chris was in the bathroom, washing his toothbrush with scalding water. As the boy had fallen, Adam had jumped, almost as if in order to catch him-- but that was a lie. Like he could speed over in time to catch him from across the room. Instead, Adam decided it would be best to act as if it hadn't happened-- save the boy his dignity.

Then, all of a sudden, the boy keeled over the toilet. Adam blinked, and looked up at the pictures. Did they really make him sick to look at? Was the boy gay, maybe? Oh, God, he hoped not. Otherwise, this just wasn't going to work out... at all. At the thought, Adam himself thought he would be sick. Before long he was going to have to find out who this boy was, especially sexually. Because, well, Adam didn't want anyone besides him, or a woman, perferably, groping him. This Chris guy was so not allowed.

Adam bit his lip, and stood to his feet. Quickly, he zipped up his pants, since he hadn't before. "Are.... are you okay?" He murmured, but didn't step near the bathroom. "Do you need the nurse?" Adam wasn't certain of what to do now. He didn't know this kid at all, and their first meeting hadn't been the greatest one.

Christian's face was hot and tingly, but somehow the seemed so cold and unforgiving. It was disgusting. It was invasive, and he couldn't get the picture out of his mind. Trying too slow his breathing he took in a deep breath. The chemicals from the cleaner burning his nostrils, but somehow cleaning his mind. The kid outside worriedly asking how he was. "No, I'm fine," he quietly. Weakly standing up, he crossed out of the bathroom and to his bag. Only stumbling a few times he clumsily shifted through the neatly packed bag. Finally, he picked out a bottle, popped the lid, and retrieved a rather large white pill. After swallowing, with a little difficulty, he drew a long breath. It was Xanax. His doctor had subscribed it to him in case he had a panic attack. Originally, he didn't want to bring it along, but his mother had insisted. Yet again his mother had proven useful.

He set the clear, orange container on the dresser beside him. Turning around, Chris quietly sat on the edge of his bed. His eyes avoid the walls that had created the problem in the first place. "I," he began to confess reluctantly, "don't think nudity in.." He stopped as his eyes were drawn to the posters again, "any form, presentable.." Swallowing hard Chris gave Adam a faint smile. He hoped the boy wouldn't hate him for this. "But it's fine if you do," he said quickly. Raising up his fist and hurrah!, but his cry was a little less enthusiastic then he meant, "yeah boobs!"

Realizing what he had just yelled Chris slid of the bed and turned his back to Adam. He cleared his throat loudly, "I'm just going to unpack my things then. I'll be done in the bathroom soon." Pulling out the last bag set of bathroom supplies he had Christian slipped into back in, and gave careful attention not to make eye contact again. With a hot face, Chris retrieved his toothbrush and set it in the open cabinet.

What did Adam think of him now? He probably thought Chris was some psycho child on drugs. Think positive, he silently remembered himself. It was possible Adam didn't mind him. It was possible that he didn't take first impressions all that importantly. They'd get to know each other better later. It wasn't long until he had everything put orderly in the cabinet. His supplies taking up half, and leaving half for his room mate. Reluctantly stepping out, and flicking off the light, Chris nodded toward Adam. "All yours."

Adam didn't know what to think of the other as now. So nudity wasn't his thing.... not necessarily normal for boys their age, but Adam could be respectful of that. He could have the pictures up only when he was horny and taking care of himself, when Chris couldn't see. But, apparently, the other boy opposite from him was not like himself. Apparently, he didn't think pleasuring himself was right, either. Adam didn't care, it was his room mate that was missing out, not him. But to keep from another uncomfortable encounter, Adam would be more careful next time. He watched the other, with wide eyes, and he swallowed this big mother-trucker sized pill. Oh, that was something, all right. But, Adam tried not to judge. The kid had just been on his knees with his head in the toilet, after all. Maybe he wasn't addicted to the medicine. Maybe he used them for the appropriate uses, like the way Adam had an inhaler in his bag in case of emergencies. Yeah, that was all.

Or maybe he's a druggie, Adam thought. Maybe he's a homosexual druggie. Adam shuddered, but this time not in pleasure. Oh, god. A druggie was bad enough, but a homo too?! No. Adam could feel his heart begin to drum a little faster in his chest. No. He would not share a room with a homosexual. He would not wake up in the middle of the night, to find that the creep had crawled into his bed. That just was not going to happen. He would require to get to know this boy better, and soon. Before he went to bed tonight, if he could.

Because God knew he really wouldn't be able to sleep with the thought of sharing a room with a homo in his head.

Adam's attention snapped as the druggie-boy started to speak again. Whenever Chris got the first sentence choked out, Adam nodded respectively and stood up on the bed to take down the pictures. What if this guy really was a pyschopathic, homosexual druggie? Then Adam wanted to be on his good side if a school shooting ever happened.

Yes, Adam was getting paranoid, and quickly. It wasn't fair of him, he knew, but he couldn't help it either. However, by the time Adam had the first poster off the wall, Chris was speaking again. And, speaking something Adam wouldn't have imagined.

"Yeah boobs!

Adam blinked to himself, and longed to turn to face the other. Yeah boobs? Well, sure, boobs were nice. In fact, that was Adam's favorite part of the female body, their boobs and their legs and their curves. Adam shuddered again, but more from his hormones than anything. But, to hear the statement from the other was simply absurd. Either way, Adam stared down at the picture in his hands, and stared at her naked breasts. Yeah, boobs were nice. Just, Adam could tell the difference between a lie and a truth.

Adam didn't dare to turn around to face the other. He made it like he was taking down the pictures again, instead of staring at them longingly. "Okay, that's fine." He said back, over his shoulder towards the other. "I'm in no hurry." No hurry at all. Take your time, druggie-boy.

Adam finally had the four remaining posters down, and lying on his bed. He flipped each of them over, so that instead of the picture of the woman, the only thing visable was the ad that was on the back of each poster. Beer ads, naturally. But, Adam didn't care. When Chris allowed him into the bathroom, Adam nodded, but debated with himself. Should he unpack? He didn't know how long he'd be in this room after all. If the guy was a homosexual, then he'd be moving out next day. If he wasn't.... then he may just be here for the whole year. Adam turned and picked out the plastic baggie of his bathroom supplies, minus his hair shampoo and conditioner, and simply placed it by the sink, before returning to his bed. That was good enough for now.

Chris wiped down the drawers before unpacking his clothes inside. Dust, was mostly dead, human skin. Just the thought made him shiver. Imagine that coating your body. Throwing out the wipe he shook his head, and began to unpack his clothes. He wasn't that neat with the folding, but it'd make due.

Stealing a glance at his room mate's side of the room he saw, in relief, that he had taken down the posters. He couldn't have possibly stayed in a room with those constantly smacking him in the face. It was sickening. Unzipping another compartment in his bag Chris retrieved another picture frame. This one of him and a strawberry blond laughing with ice cream smeared across their faces. He looked at it for a moment, and smiled before setting it down on the dresser. Her name was Sarah. They had meet after the hardest time in his life, and got along quite well. She didn't mind his obsessive fear of germs, or his yelling when finding a spider. She had even been there for him when his grandmother had died. Retrieving the last picture he set it up in front of the two. An aged woman smiled back at him, her hair graying, but still dark brown. He had stolen the picture from his mother. Her warm smile had given him his courage back.

"So," he said zipping up the empty compartments of his bag, "there is a meeting tonight? It's supposed to just be the principal to introducing us to the school... I haven't seen him yet, but I've heard he's quite the character." Chris had heard anything, but good rumors about the principal. From what he knew the man had an unique way to handle punishments, so he had heard. Christian couldn't imagine what it was, but he assumed it couldn't be anything that bad. They were at a most respected school, and so there should be far less crimes committed.

Tucking his bag underneath his bed Chris sat back down. The school he was at was so far away from home. If something happened it'd be awfully hard to turn back. I hope Mom remembers to feed Flipper, he thought quietly. Vowing, that later when his mother called that he'd remind her to do so.

[Sarah]

Adam sat calmly on his bed, tucking away the pictures that had almost made his room mate toss his cookies. He tucked them away inconspiciously under the mattress of his bed, to where they could easily be accessed-- with only one hand if it needed to be. He glanced back over at Chris as he pulled out each picture and its frame, and squinted his eyes. In that one picture, was he standing next to a girl? Maybe a girlfriend? God, Adam hoped so. Because then, maybe the kid was only bisexual, in the worst. Bisexual was still part homo, but not completely. It made Adam feel a little calmer inside.

Again, Adam looked towards his bag. Seeing the other boy do so, it made Adam want to pull out his own little photo album, and look at the kind faces it had to offer. Well, he wouldn't be able to look at the pictures of his brother at all-- he wasn't too happy with his brother right now. And, to see a picture of his mother would only make him homesick. Maybe looking at pictures wouldn't be a good idea, anyway.

As Chris spoke, Adam looked up, and blinked. "I heard the guy's an absolute nut." He murmured softly. "I'm probably going to skip the meeting," Adam answered honestly. He would find his own way to his classes eventually. And, he wasn't too eager to meet the nut-job of a principal. Adam had managed to stand up as he spoke, all to get a better look at the pictures sitting on the boy's dresser. He squinted his eyes, but he could clearly see the girl. "Is that your sister?" He asked casually, not really thinking of the question. He was just dying to hear that the girl was a girlfriend-- even an ex-girlfriend. Please. Adam didn't want to come off as a nosey guy, but he would if it helped him feel any better about his new room mate.

But, in bringing up the question, it opened conversation. Shit. So, that probably meant they would have a little game of Q&A for a while. Shit. Adam, as cocky as he was, didn't want to talk about his home life, about who he was. But, he would suffer through, all the same.

Chris laughed as at the boy's blunt comment on the principal. "Perhaps, but I'm interested in getting my own view on this matter." Watching as he approached to look at the photo of him and Sarah. "Why do you think she's cute?" he said with a mischievous grin on his face. "No, she's a close friend," he lied out on the bed. Staring at the ceiling he continued, "I'm going to miss her. Going to Eddingborough, what was I thinking?" mutter on to himself more than Adam now Chris fell silent.

"So, since we're going to be stuck with each other for a while, let's get along. I do warn that Science is my forte. Dissecting," Christian shivered, "is worst of it. Thankfully, we won't be doing much of that until next year." He silently recalled the days that he had been forced to dissect a frog. The work was a three day process, and two of the days he ended up passing out. It wasn't too gory, but being forced to cut through bone and poke it's eyeball made him sick. The kid next to him had actually taken the eyeball out onto his pick, and ran around showing it to everyone. Christian almost gagged remembering.

"Oh," he said suddenly remembering something. Sitting up, Chris quickly grabbed his bag and unzipped it. Pulling out a plastic container, which held brownies, he waved Adam over. "My mom packed these without me knowing. She's a bit crazy," he admitted as he peeled the cover off the container. "You're welcome to some though, she's an excellent cook. Well, she better be, since she works at a bakery."

Crossing his legs Chris helped himself to one of the brownies. "They aren't drugged, honestly." He let out a soft laugh, "I'm not on drugs either, but I do have panic attacks under... stressful situations." He bit into the brownie and remained quiet as he chewed. "Xanax, it was prescribed by my doctor. It's much better then cracking out the herbs and meditating every time I feel the least bit ill," talking a little bit fast, but he paused for a moment to eat some more. "It's much more convenient as well."

[Sarah]

Adam shrugged to himself, still looking at the picture of the girl, and then the other pictures that was also on the dresser. One was what Adam immediately assumed to be his grandmother, she looked a little too old to be his mother. And, the other picture of a full family. Adam looked closer, to see two girls, almost their age, but maybe younger, in the picture. So, Chris did have sisters, even if the girl in the picture with him wasn't his sister.

Hearing the other boy, he chuckled to himself, and shrugged. "She's alright." He allowed. "Brunettes are more of my type." Of course Adam didn't mind talking about girls-- maybe science was Chris' forte, but women and sex was Adam's. He nodded to agree with the mutter, even if it wasn't directed towards him. He was thinking the same thing. Really, a boy afraid of homosexuals, and he moved right to the place where it's most likely homosexuals would be-- in an all boys school.

Looking over to the boy's face, Adam nodded. "I'm alright in science." He agreed. Adam suddenly grinned wide. "Dissecting was the coolest part... I think." he added at the end, and finally shrugged nonchalantly. Adam truly was a boy at heart-- he loved gruesome things like that. It helped to quench his curiousity. Would he ever be able to dissect a dog, though? Never. A frog was just a slimy little thing, but a dog was more human than a frog.

Seeing the boy wave him over, Adam's brows furrowed, and he stepped closer. His head lightly tilted to the side, his dark locks falling into his eyes with the ever-so-ordinary look of curiousity that came on to his face. Adam hesitated, before picking up a brown square. Chris seemed to voice one of Adam's exact fears, only with humor in mind. Adam of course tried to smile slightly, and nodded. Of course they weren't drugged, silly Adam. He bit into the soft square, and blinked, before taking another bite. A little crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside, almost like it was under baked, but it wasn't. It was just perfection. "These are really good." he murmured politely, licking the remaining bits of chocolate cake off of his fingers when he was finished.

He nodded slowly to the boy's alibi. He sounded normal, at least. Yeah, medicine just for the panic attacks, Adam could understand that. He had been stupid in assuming that the boy was a druggie, hadn't he? No, he'd just been a little freaked out by the naked women.... Adam came to the direct conclusion that the boy was a virgin. But, then again, so was Adam himself. But, Adam at least knew what pleasure felt like... But, it really wasn't his business whether the other boy was a virgin or not, after all.

Adam wiped his hand down on his jeans, and sat down cross-legged on the floor. He didn't mind, but he figured he may as well talk to the boy a little. "I bet it is." He murmured softly. "So, since that girl isn't your sister," Adam nodded his head towards the picture. "Are you an only child?" Adam knew his answer immediately, but he may as well start the conversation some how, even if Adam didn't particularly want to talk about his own family.

Christian smiled as Adam took a brownie, bit into it, and found it surprisingly good. Slapping the cap back on the container he set it on the dresser as well, and used a wipe on his hands. "Brunettes, huh?" Christian nodded in understanding. He could have talks about girls, but he still couldn't think about doing those sort of things. "I don't really prefer any hair colors, but I'm not to fond of dyed hair. It often smells bad, or looks unnatural." Christian shrugged, he didn't know exactly how to explain it.

"No. I have two sisters," he said nodding to the picture on the right, "they are thirteen and eleven." Stretching out on his bed yet again Christian continued, "we get along alright. However, it does get difficult sometimes... Living with two younger sisters. I often have to wake them up in the morning, and what I discover isn't always pleasant," he confessed. Letting out a short tsk sound he almost smirked, "I wonder how they'll get along without me." Honestly, Christian was worried how'd get along without them. He was already missing home, and he felt the urge to call.

"So," he began flipping on his side to gaze at Adam, "what about you? Girlfriend? Girlfriends?" he had seen Adam as the kind who didn't have one girl but many. It was strictly for conversation purposes, but he didn't know if he was touching the right topic to talk of. After all, he didn't want to know, in graphic terms, if Adam had done it with other girls. It just seemed the best topic for him.

Chris waited patiently, but his eyes were intent on hearing about his room mate. One of his good qualities was Christian was honestly a curious person, and therefore almost always a good listener. Propping up his elbow, under his head, for elevation he began to bite his lip in consideration. An old habit, and it made his lips terribly chapped. His mother often yelled at him for it, and he had to wear lots of chapstick in the winter. Besides the point, he was interested in what Adam had to share.

Adam simply nodded towards Chris, and then picked up a lock of his own hair, and grinned slightly. "They suit me best. Blondes are dumb. Red heads can be ass-holes.... so brunettes are the ones for me." He shrugged slightly. Adam almost always could talk about women... and talk about them for hours on end. Being a hormonal boy, he was a bit obsessed. But, Chris would come to learn that on his own pretty soon.

Adam again glanced at the photo, as if he hadn't seen it before. He nodded knowingly, and chuckled. "I'm the youngest of my family." he offered. "I'm normally causing most of the troubles, in that case." Adam shrugged slightly, along with his smile. So, they were different in that sense. An older sibling and a younger sibling. Though Adam didn't feel that Chris would have control issues in this way, Adam would refuse to be treated like a younger sibling here. No bossing around. No being waken up. None of that crap.

As the topic of conversation turned his way, Adam expected a question of his siblings. But, he was more than pleased when there wasn't one. Good, he didn't have to talk about Trent, then. Because, well, he tended to get a little too upset lately when having to talk, or even think, about his brother. Holes in the wall at his former home proved such. Honestly, how could Trent plan to go to the army, without telling his own brother?! It was absurd.

But, Adam didn't have to think about Trent right now, and so he wouldn't. He chuckled at hearing what he asked, and rolled his eyes. Clearly, Adam had suceeded in appearing to be a pimp. Awesome. "Oh, hell yeah." Adam said, but clearly sarcasm laced his voice. "I've got three of em'. One's 24-- she's hot as fuck. Her name's Chandra. Then there's Becky and Amelia. Their twins." Adam nodded slowly, forcing himself to look serious. "They were crushed that I had to leave them." How much bull shit could he lace on before Chris caught the bluff? It was tempting to go on.

But Adam couldn't hold it in. He ended up bursting with his own laughter, and shaking his head. He couldn't help but laugh at such bull shit, even if he made it up on his own. Finally, he sighed, and shook his head. "I'mma lucky bastard," He said, rolling his eyes. "I'm single." He said it almsot bitterly, but Adam didn't let it show in his face. There was no need to mention that he was virgin too, was it? Adam was about as ashamed as he wanted to be, right now.

Christian almost instantly feel into Adam's trap as he talked about girls. The boy's face dead serious as he listened, but showed a hint of worry as he mentioned a twenty-four year old girlfriend. "Well," he said trying to look at the bright side, "there certainly is an age difference, but perhaps you can work something out.." His face grim as he mentioned the twins. "Oh," was all he said and waited in silence. Suddenly, Adam burst out laughing.

"What? What's so funny?" he asked feeling embarrassed by the boy's laughter. Sitting up right, with a red face, he waited until he was done and had admitted he was single. "I knew that," he objected quietly. It was evident that he had completely fallen into Adam's trap, but he wouldn't admit it himself. However, it was a small relief in itself. A few seconds ago he thought the kid as a player, but now he seemed more like an equal. "Well, you'll find someone I'm sure."

Laying back down, Christian eyed his room mate carefully. He wouldn't fall for silly tricks again. "So," he said holding onto the "o" for quite a time, "did you have to fly here?" The whole conversation seemed a little forced at times, but honestly Christian wanted to get to know his room mate. He would probably be depending on him for a companion for at least the first day. It was always good to know someone the first day. Other ways you were pretty much a screwed screw.

"I did," he said answer his own question before Adam could. "It was a dreadful experience, I must say. Take off was absolutely horrid. We began off, down the runway, and just as we were another plane started landing right next to us. I thought we were going to crash! As if flying wasn't stressful enough! Lucky the pilots were quite capable, but I'm not sure if I'm booking with them again. Returning home for the holidays will be such a pain! I slept most of the ride, thankfully, but it took a while since the seats are so close together. This man extended his seat all the way, and I swear for half the ride was right in my lap! It was just dreadful." Letting out a sigh of frustration as Christian remembered the tightly packed plane. The man in front of him closing in on his space. Being claustrophobic, this sent Chris into a serious of puffs and short lived panic attacks. It wasn't until the Tylenol PM kicked in that he rested peacefully. If he hadn't taken it he wasn't sure if he would have lasted the whole plane ride at all.

Adam smirked wide to himself. He didn't mean to make the other boy feel small-- it was just a little harmless play. But, what was best, was that Chris fell for it! Adam let out another contented sigh. "Sorry, man," Adam murmured, now calm, but still smiling from his little trick. "I was just playin' around." He shrugged again.

The boy was quick to cover his ass though, and that caused Adam to grin. The two of them were more alike than he could have thought. But, hearing a last sentence on the topic, Adam snorted. "Yeah." He said, stretching his arms upward to hear his back and shoulders pop. "If I can find a girl good enough for me, that's the trouble." Oh, Adam, you made it out like you were a damn king of England. The problem was, since Adam was still very much an adolencent, was that girls hardly looked his way. Especially no 24-year-olds paid him attention. But, hey, Lindsey would be good enough for him-- if he wouldn't have promised Trent that he'd leave her alone. Besides, what would she want to do with a 15-year-old. Adam brushed the thought aside.

He nodded, but let the other go ahead as he began to ramble a little bit. Adam smiled to himself, and nodded. He was good at listening, when he wanted to be. He could be respectful, when he wanted to be. Just, more often than not, Adam seemed to not want to be all those things. "I took a plane." Adam started as the boy finished. "First time. It was alright, I guess." He shrugged easily. He didn't know what to expect, since he had never flown before. In Ohio, all of his relatives lived near. They never went on pricey vacations either-- his parents were pretty frugal people. But, Adam didn't mind either. He didn't much like travelling. "I'm glad I didn't have such a shitty seat, though. The person next to me got off the plane last second. I mean last second." Adam nodded quickly. "Like, they were ready to close the doors and stuff. I was already in my belt when she stood up." Adam was ready to gush about his first plane ride--- he hadn't been able to call his mother up yet and gush to her, so it was ready to explode by now. "There was a real dick in front of me too, but I kicked his seat a couple of times "on accident"," Adam raised his fingers into air-quotes. "And then he got the message. There was some sort of movie on the t.v. screens, but I couldn't hear it. I guess you had to buy their crappy headphones to hear it. I wasn't going to waste 3 bucks just to hear some Disney movie that I've seen a million times." Adam shrugged. "I won't mind flying back for the holidays," Adam said honestly, his mind running away with his words now. "Just as long as I get to see my Mama." Adam barely realized how he brought up his family, or how childish he looked now. He was in his own little world, for even a moment or two.

Mama, what a childish word, but Adam didn't mind. The word made images of his mother, with her caressing smile and dark hair like his own, come to the center of his mind. Adam bit his lip softly, and gnawed on the skin. Honestly, this was the first time he was really apart from his family, especially his mother. On impulse, Adam stood up and walked to his bag. He needed to see her face. He needed it badly, before he ended up crying in front of his room mate. He pulled out the little picture album, and flipped through a few pages, to the picture of him and his mother, Charlie. He didn't look towards Chris at all, only staring at the picture with his lip still bit.

Great, so what would he be now to his room mate? The sissy little Mama's boy? God, Adam hoped not. And, he hoped that Chris didn't ask anything about it, either. But, there was no telling what Chris would do, after all.
