Hair color and style
Jared has dark brown hair - medium cut. He'll usually straighten it and gel up the top portion into spikes, and leave the rest down. Some days he'll do absolutely nothing, and wear it lose and slightly wavy. Most of the time it depends on his mood in the morning.
Eye color
Brown, outlined by a small amount of black eyeliner. He applies it much thicker during a show.
Voice
Tenor. Jared doesn't like his voice - especially while he sings. He thinks he sounds dreadful, and someone even asked if he was tone deaf once. With a big bust in his ego Jared takes many precautions not to sing, and if he does it's a soft monotone.
Distinguishing marks
A scar on his lower torso from where he got his appendix taken out.
Build
Jared is skinny, really skinny, to the point where he feels self conscious about it. It isn't a matter of whether he eats, because he can really eat, but rather his high metabolism. Some call him lucky, but he finds it more of a curse really. Not really that athletic he doesn't build up much muscle, but is surprisingly flexible.
Stance
Jared often walks through the halls with his head down, and watches the floor and the shoes of his fellow classmates. He does it more out of habit than actually practice after years of dreadful public school. In public school he never got along well with the other kids, and didn't have many if any friends. He didn't know how to interact with others well, so he would avoid eye contact. He sits casually upright, and doesn't have much of a slouch.
Clothing style
Jared wasn't too happy when he found out there would be school uniforms, which he expected none the less, it was a private school after all. However, he gradually learned to accept the rule after his second year. Many would alter the clothes slightly to their liking, a lose tie here and there, so he did the same. Often he loosens his tie, and rolls up the sleeves on his shirts during the summer. Being a senior, he is offered a small choice and wears a black blazer with a white button down shirt.
On vacation he'll wear a pair of ripped jeans, a plain tee, and sometimes a sweater(depending on the season). At shows his style doesn't change much, but to ruffled shirts and stylish blazers.
Basic appearance
With relatively small lips and a overly large, in his personal opinion, nose. Jared's face is quite plain. His eyes are dull brown, but he uses eyeliner, under the discouragement of his parents, to bring them out. He often spikes the back of his hair for effect, but on days will just be too lazy to even brush it.
Standing a little short, inherited from his mother, Jared was never well liked by the girls. Lean, and not muscular, Jared is actually well balanced for his weight. Not overly chubby in parts, but fat seems to distribute evenly thorough his system.
personality
& phobias
Atychiphobia; Fear of being wrong.
In school, most importantly life, Jared has always feared getting answers to questions wrong. In class he'll refuse to raise his hand in fear people will laugh at his answer/question. However, he doesn't take this fear to the extreme, but mainly fears ridicule from other teens.
Thanatophobia; Fear of dying.
As most Jared fears dying. What comes after life? Not believing in any particular god or afterlife he is unsure what comes after leaving the world forever. Nothingness is the only thought that comes to mind, and so he fears being nonexistent after so many years at working for potential.
Fear of intimacy.
He fears sharing everything about himself with one being. He doesn't quite trust people and is wary of what he divulges of himself. This fear came from the dreaded years of his adolescence. Drama was high, and he hurt by his most trusted friend. Of course, he's moved on by now, but the scar still remains. Overall he fears being completely exposed.
& the good
Coming from a common family Jared is very down-to-earth, as one might put it. He understands reality, or is forced to accept it, as well as the chances he will probably never become famous. He accepts to world will never be the perfect place, and that you have to work your ass off for some reward you might never receive. Life is unfair, and he accepts it.
Jared isn't nosy. He tends to mind his own business, and if others wish to share their secrets with him he'll be more than glad to listen. However, he doesn't snoop around for 'dirt' people.
He is not the type to spill secrets. If someone asks him to keep something private he shall, and the words shall never cross his lips. Having had experiences where his secrets were exposed most vainly, Jared doesn't wish to have others face the same fate under his account.
Quite talented at playing the guitar Jared brings it almost everywhere with him. Music is the only place he feels confident, and doesn't constantly feel wary of what others think of him. Jared does write his own songs, lyrics and all, but is never confident enough to sing it out in public. However, he isn't as shy strumming out the notes on his guitar. Occasionally he'll keep more personal songs private, but often performs them freely within public. Music is meant to be enjoyed by others, and not played out in secrecy.
Jared always strives to do his best. In group projects he won't let down his partner(s), and will do the work assigned to him. The product may not be A+ material, but he'll try to the best of his ability. Jared is a follower, and is most comfortable when someone else decides to take the lead. Although he isn't comfortable taking the reins on himself, he will if a situation calls for it.
& the ugly
Jared is most definitely NOT a morning person. He hates waking up, and will stay in bed as long as he possibly can. It is rare for him to even be in a speaking mood in the morning. Mostly he'll mumbled off to himself and hobble room to room to get ready. It's best just to leave him alone.
He isn't that good at socializing with others easily. It takes him a while to get comfortable talking to someone, and if he isn't he'll often make up dumb excuses to go. You may think he dislikes you, but mostly it's because he isn't comfortable.
Jared is terribly stubborn. He won't do something unless he wants to, and will not give up easily in an argument. He'll sometimes even twist it to his defense to make it a credit to his point.

Trevor Daniels, father,
Hometown
Albany, New York.
History
Jared was born and raised in Albany. Originally, his mother wanted to move to a smaller town, but Trevor insisted that their boy would be just fine in the city. Growing up in a city Jared learned to watch his back at a young age. His mother had grown up on a farm, and was very cautious from all the "stories" of kidnappings she heard on the news. He was surprised she didn't make him carry a jack knife around with him.
Public school was hell. Too shy to converse well with the other kids it wasn't long until they singled him out. It remained this way for years, until Middle School. A girl had just moved, and for some reason she liked talking to him. Olivia and him became close friends. He shared everything with her. The sad disappointment of his father because he wasn't talented at sports, and his scowl everything he looked over his report card.
One day, toward the end of the school year, he went to school to find people snickering at him. It wasn't until later that day that he found Olivia had dished every little secret she could manage. Even taping up fliers of him most indignity crying. The rest of the year was hell. Jared went to his father for sympathy, but instead got exiled to Eddingborough.
The biggest problem within the family, however, is the relationship between Jared's father and himself. Jared adores his mother, and she does with her son. She doesn't mind that he isn't the brightest or strongest. However, Jared's father is the competitive type. Not being able to have any more children, due to his mother's condition, Jared is his only hope. A son that doesn't excel in school or sports. Music is what he is good at, but where will that bring him? Wanting his son to quit the "nonsense" he'd often confide his son to his room for long hours to focus on his studies. Daily trips to the gym were essential as well, but often lead to tense trips home. So, he finally decided to send his son away to Eddingborough, where hopefully he would give up on music. Little does he know that Jared is working more on music. However, he keeps up his grades so his father won't come to inspect or pay him a visit.

English was alright. Jared wasn't a bookworm, but he did find reading books of his selection enjoyable. He had a particular taste, but was open enough to trying new things. If he didn't like it than he wouldn't try something of the same genre again. The only problem with English was writing. Which, for the most part, was the biggest portion of the class. Not being all that adequate when it came to grammar all the time Jared proceeded to embarrass himself when it came time to be assigned partners. Fortunately, the hadn't had a project in a while, but that time was about to end.
That day, a Tuesday, when Jade managed to crawl through the sprung open door his luck ended. As usual, he sat down in the chair to the far left and second to the back. When he glanced up at the board to find that the day's usual question-of-the-day wasn't up there. Which meant that the teacher wanted to talk to the class straight away. Which lead to the hint of them being assigned a project. Before class began Jared found himself praying the entire time, hoping by some miracle, that there would be no project. Despite is mental efforts the teacher sat down on his usual stool in front and removed his square framed glasses. "Today we will be going into a new project. Yes, you will be assigned a partner," his eyes glancing in Jared's direction. It was only natural since every time he mentioned a project Jared would inquire if they'd be assigned partners. Then, the teacher would answer yes and he'd burst out into a series of mumbles about how independent work was best. "The project will be reading a book that you and your partner will choice and writing an essay on it. It will be due next Monday. Also, you must choice a book form the list I will pass out to you."
"Oh sweet, merciful mother," mumbled Jared as the stack of papers were passed toward him. Taking one, from the bottom, he carelessly handed the backwards. The list was lengthy and most of the book titles he could identify. Well, that was a relief at least. Too impatient to figure out who his partner would be he gazed around the room. Identifying a few old partners he frowned in shame. It was a relief that he wouldn't be stuck with them again, but he felt sick just thinking about possibly being stuck with the smartest kid in the class. Well, maybe he wasn't the smartest, but he was definitely the most confident and bossy. Measuring his odds Jade didn't pay attention to the teacher's further explanation of the project.
"So I will be announcing the partners now," the teacher sniffed and pulled out a piece of paper from the bottom of his stack. Jared's head snapped forth and he crossed his fingers hoping for a kind partner. He listened nervously as the names were called off in pairs. It was near the end of the list that his own was finally called. "Jared, Layden," the teacher groveled in with the rest of the names. Jared looked around for the face named Layden. He hadn't ever talked to the boy, but he seemed alright. Not uptight about anything at least. Jared raised his left hand lowly in recognition to his partner. He half smiled as the teacher finished. "Okay. You may start." Wait, start what?
