ANTHONY BORGER
basics
Full name Anthony Emeric Borger
Age 25 years old
DOB September 2, 1985
Gender Male... durr
Year Social Studies Proffessor
Sexuality Straight... very straight
Nationality Anthony is American, the great "Melting Pot" holds up to its name in his case. Most of his heritage is not straight foreword. But, he does know that he is Native American, Scottish, English, German and French. How the hell he can be all this at once, he has no idea.
Place of birth Bloomington, Illinois
Social class Middle
Religion** Anthony is Mormon, a form of Christianity. His beliefs are similar to Christianity, seeing as it's the same concept, but has somewhat higher bars held for him. He is fairly strong to his religion. Most of its beliefs are what many would agree with. He never had sex with a woman before being married to her. Too bad this only backfired about 2 years later. It was with she he ever slept with. Also in his beliefs, he does not drink caffeinated substances, even rarely a Pepsi. Nor does he smoke, drink, gamble. Isn't he just the fun sucker? So, as part of his role as so, he also doesn't believe in boys liking other boys. But, he has no problems with those who are gay.
physical
Height 5'10"
Weight 162 lbs
Hair color and style Layers upon layers of solid brown. Several different shades that vary through the year, seeing as his hair lightens easily in sunlight.
Eye color Green with specks of hazel that are often framed by a pair of rectangular glasses.
Voice Anthony has never been found of his voice by anymeans. When he was younger it was always high and squeaky, and never masculine like he wanted to be. Now, however, his voice has dropped into a comfortable range.
Distinguishing marks Other than some freckles here and there, none.
Build Medium; Anthony has never been concerned with body building or how he looks.
Stance Anthony walks confidently through the halls of Eddingborough easily. As a staff member, he is one of the people who are given higher respect, so he treats it as so.
Clothing style When trying to look presentable like his fellow professors, Anthony will wear button down shirts, occasionally throwing in a colorful tie, so he doesn't look like some sort of black and white figure. A pair of dark shoes, polished proudly, and a pair of pinstriped pants. However, when casual, he blends quite easily into the crowd, even the teenage crowd. A pair of loose fitting, but not at all ill fitting, jeans, some times with rips in the knees, and a shirt with some sort of funny or smart remark. Not even at a dress down day for faculty, however, he would not wear these shirts.
Basic appearance When working at such a prestigious school as of Eddingborough, Anthony feels the need to look the part. Always, he was someone to follow the crowd. He's normally always been tall, stopping his growth when he was in tenth grade. A pair of rectangular glasses are rarely needed, but often worn. All he has is an astigmatism in one eye. He has always had problems with his sight, being born without tear ducts in both eyes. Normally green eyes can vary in color, if he goes to the trouble of it. But, never would he think of doing such a thing while on the job. His height seems properly proportioned, though in reality, his legs are longer than his arms can reach. He has to bend his legs to reach his toes. Looking upward, Anthony tries to keep himself neat along the facial area especially. Hair is normally combed straight, away from his face. His lips are a small cupid bow, a dark pink.
personality
& phobias
Ichthyophobia- Fear/loathing of fish.
It's a complicated story, but a rather hilarious tale to tell. While hilarious to the receiver, it isn't so humorous for Anthony. When he was 6, he went to a carnival. Out of mere luck, he won a prize. This prize, was of the living kind, a goldfish. He loved the little thing, the first ever pet he had to himself. Unfortunately, his family also had a Sphinx cat, one of which had a taste for fish. The cat killed the fish, only Anthony didn't find out. His mother realized this, and replaced it before Anthony could notice. Cat had another meal the next week. It continued quite a while, his cat killing, and his mother replacing, before Anthony walked in, catching his mother. 2 years had all ready past, and he only now found out. Although she apologized many times, Anthony held the grudge, and would no longer take any interest into fish to eat, or have as pets. When he first ate sushi, not knowing it was fish, he asked what it was, only to spit it out quickly. He had even liked the taste, too.
Necrophobia- Fear of death[/b]
Anthony fears the usual, as most do. At the top of his list, is death. Though, according to his religion, there is life after death, he is none too eager to give up the life he has currently.
Paralipophobia- Fear of neglecting duty or responsibility.[/b]
Anthony has always been a bit of an over achiever, though he now hates those kinds of students he faces in his career. But, the reason why Anthony always was that kind of student, was because he was afraid of neglecting his duty. He was raised in a household where he was taught to do his chores the first time he was told. It was always, "Yes Mother" and "Yes Father", never "I'll do it in a minute". If he didn't do a job in the correct time or do it effeciently, he was punished, plain and simple. He never wanted to let his parents down in that way.
Pteromerhanophobia- Fear of flying[/b]
Anthony is a paranoid guy and easily worried in some cases. Since September Eleventh in the US, he has rarely rode in a plane. Even before then, he was uneasy with the idea.
& the good
Helping[/b] Anthony is always willing to help another person. If there is a way for him to help a student understand a concept, or even another faculty member of his, he will give it his all to help them.
Pride[/b] Anthony has some pride within him, but not so much that he will not accept new ideas or opinions, or even help. If he realizes that he needs something from another person, he will not deny himself of it.
Responsible[/b] As stated before, Anthony has always been the responsible type. If he wasn't responsible, there was always serious repercussions that followed. He has decided that it's just easier to do his job instead of slack off.
& the ugly
Impatience-[/b] He knows what he wants, and he wants it now. No reason to wait, right? Unless there's a good reason why he does need to wait, he's not taking that shit.
Perfection- [/b] Anthony normally wont settle for anything less than anyone's best. He can be demanding, even of himself. And, its not like he will let it go, either.
Science- [/b] He sees its importance, but cant quite understand it fully. Such as global warming, which he sees as a hoax. He knows the benefits of knowing of science, and passed the class with a C average once he was out of high school, but hates it all the same.
talents
Arguing- If it can be considered as a talent, which of course his fellows on the debate team thought, he is simply marvelous at arguing. He can prove and disprove his own points.
Social Studies- [/i] Naturally, being the Social Studies professor, Anthony has a knack for remembering dates and general information without much effort. Words simply don't pass through one ear and out the other. He actually processed the information with interest while in school himself.
People Skills- Anthony can get along with many, even as different as himself as possible. Though may come off as a shy person from the beginning, he was born with the gift of gab.

dreams
One day, Anthony hopes to teach at an even higher up school than Eddingborough. Can you say, Harvard? No, no. Anthony wouldnt be able to handle that kind of pressure, no matter how much he would like it. Even if he was to be offered, after some serious debate with himself, he'd turn it down. He's thought of the scenario quite a bit, though doubting he would ever come to the time where he would be in use of the internal debate. Oh, but another college would be nice.

History
"Emeric!" Mrs. Borger called from below in the modest house that Anthony was forced to call home. Currently, he was trying the nickname of 'Emeric' on for size. It wasnt sticking too well. Emily often had to remind his father, Ryan, to call him by that instead of Anthony or even Tony. But, hey, they could try. "Get down here, dinner is ready!"
Anthony was soon down the stairs, his little 13 year old self. He pushed his glasses, ovals this time, up further on the bridge of his nose as he thudded down the remaining stairs. "Coming!" He called. His voice was yet to mature by much. Well, he'd rather it be like this squeaky, wimpy thing, than to have it crack, like it seemed to do in the worst of times. Like the time he tried to ask Charlotte Melendez to the school dance. Oh, that had ended perfectly.
Carefully pulling the wooden chair, he sat down, blinking at the other open chair to his right. "Where's Ana?" He asked, pulling the plate of food his mother had prepared closer to him. He peered down at the plate, once over his glasses, to inspect it. Okay, so, maybe Mom wasnt the greatest cook, but the pink fleshy thing on his plate didnt look appetizing. He wrinkled his nose, looking from the scaly thing to his mother, practically pleading with those eyes to throw the piece of trash back where it came from.
"She's at a friend's house." His mother murmured easily, not looking at Anthony in time to see his eyes, or reaction all together. She was piling more of the fleshy things on to her plate, Anthony noticed. "Mom, what are these?" He asked, jabbing his fork into the item. Shrugging, he popped it into his mouth. He wasnt that finicky of an eater. Well, except when it came to certain items. "Its sushi." She responded.
Anthony continued to chew, but furrowed his dark brows. "I've never had sushi before.." He trailed off slightly, taking note of what else was on his plate. A very different dinner, indeed. Next to the sushi, was a pile of rice, and, by the smell of it, soy sauce. "Sushi is fish." His father's lower voice rang out and glanced his way. Teeth stopped chewing, fork fell from hand. Fish? Fish?! Ew..Oh, oh god.
Bringing his napkin to his face, Anthony spat it out quickly, and glowered at his mother.
Anthony was born to his parents on September 2, 1985 in Bloomington Illinois. His family was often seen as unique, mainly for their religion. Anthony was taught to be obediant, to do as he was told the first time. To many, they wondered how they got him to do such a thing. Just, being of his religion, standards were strict, and Anthony wanted to live up to them. He was rather religious, even as a boy. Always willing to please; however, did not stifle his stubborn will.
By the time he was in middle school, he had all ready taken an interest in girls, though they didnt take so much in him. His voice could still sometimes be mistaken for a girl's, and he definitely screamed like a girl. He was a subject for bullying much because of this. So, he stuck to himself majority of the time, except when with teachers, family or friends, even though he could be very social.
But, no matter what, he was never very social with his sister, Ana. She was a bit younger than him, eight years, creating quite the time gap. It's easy to say that Anothy never ventured to close this gap, normally only increasing its width in distance. They never saw eye to eye, often being a very rapid fuel source to Anthony's stubborness.
Anthony's first fear of death developed when he was little, but only magnified itself when an Uncle of his, whom he was very near with, passed away due to a heartattack. He continued his insane paranoia, often backed by stubborn will, trying to be as careful and precautious as possible. It goes without saying; it didnt help his popularity rate.
Social studies came naturally to Anthony, especially during High School. Things seemed easier in High School, for some odd reason, than they did middle school. He could easily find people like him, and joined many clubs. Debate, Student Council, some tutoring. Still, he hadnt realized what he wanted to be when he grew up. When he was younger, one of his favorite movies had been "Jack" with Robin Williams playing a boy with a growth disorder, making him grow four times more than the usual rate. When he was asked what he wanted to grow up, Anthony would steal the famous line. "What do I want to be when I grow up? Alive." Rather stupid response sometimes, but it proved exactly what kind of smart ass Anthony could be.
Though he now seems to hate them something awful, Anthony was often a suck up to teachers, without really meaning to be. He would volunteer for errands that needed to be ran, seeing as he normally finished with his work ahead of time. Well, all but science work, he did. Even science assignments aside, he passed all of his classes with flying colors, graduating near the top of his class.
Anthony now considers himself very lucky to teach at Eddingborough. After all, he didnt go through with college for nothing. He had always been someone to do things himself, trying to deny help whenever possible. So, who would be a better Social Studies professor than him? Well, Anthony could tell you quite a few. Still, he gladly greets each day at Eddingborough, still ready for someone to say its his last.
