Build Medium; His chest is well muscled, along with his legs and lower body, but he cannot lift much.
Stance Claude walks confidently but casually with his head up, and his shoulders back. His hands are always in his pockets as his feet shuffle down the halls.
Clothing style Fancy brands and hip wear isn't Claude's thing. If something looks nice on the hanger, and looks nice on him then it doesn't matter if it's made by Abercrombie and Fitch or by Goodwill. More often than not, the boy wears a pair of loose, but not ill-fitting jeans with tears in the knees. Threads hang off from the holes, but he would never trim them for the world. And, he didn't pay an extra forty bucks for them. He took a pair of scissors to a jeans he favored well, and only liked them more because of it. You could call Claude thrifty in that sense. If he can create "today's top styles" by his own means, then it doesn't matter if it has the Hollister seal or not. Along with his jeans comes a bleached white undershirt with some sort of tee over top. The shirt is normally of some sort of band that he enjoys, or know is popular for their music. In more ways than one, Claude is a hypocrite, and not only in his fashion sense.
Basic appearance Claude has shaggy brown hair that he hates to have cut, even when it falls into his eyes. His smile, when he does smile, is generally and open one that debuts his teeth behind a pair of darker pink, cupid bow lips. He hates his lips, considering they're what he considers to be overly large, dark and feminine, after years of biting them when frustrated. He'd even been asked if he was wearing his mother's lipstick from time to time. His skin is sensitive and often he develops blemishes along his cheeks and chin. His ears stick out more than they naturally should, or so Claude thinks, and they are the main reason for growing his hair out so long. He has a generally muscular build, which is the only aspect he ever gained from his father's side of genetics, or so that he noticed. He eventually grew to 5 foot 7 inches, long after his older-by-a-month brother did. In middle school, he was often picked on for being as short as he was, before shooting up during his freshmen year. On the back of Claude's neck, between his shoulder blades, lie the results of his first drunk dare. He was just 14, and under the influence, when his also wasted friends came, and dared him to get a tattoo. Now, in a dark green ink is written in careful manuscript: 'Est 1991", for the year he was born.
personality
& phobias
Achluophobia- Fear of darkness.
Since Claude was young and lived with his mother, he was easily frightened by the dark. Since he and Mommy dearest didn't live high on the hog by any means, the electricity bill on their apartment sometimes went unpaid. The time that particularly sticks out to him was during a tremendous windstorm and the electricity was cut off. Claude was only four, home alone while his mother was at work. He had been left home alone before when she was gone, not that it was legal. He cannot remember what happened that night that caused him to panic, because he blacked out. Though he would never admit it, Claude cannot stand completely small and dark places. Often at night, he'll leave a television on or a lamp, just for reassurance.
Gerascophobia- Fear of growing old.
Claude has never been afraid of dying--he has been afraid of what will kill him. And, with that fear, he's also been afraid of growing old. He hates birthdays more than anything. During his childhood, his birthday wasn't celebrated often, but he always knew he was getting older, and getting closer to the age of when he would die. If anything, Claude wants to die in his youth.
Homophobia- Fear of becoming homosexual
Claude has been insecure about himself in the past, though he tries to keep it hidden. One of his biggest insecurities would be with his sexuality. He loves women but recently, he's been attracted to both sexes-- he hates the idea. Homosexuals scare him, and even fascinate him. But, what scares him the most, is the thought that he could become like them. He doesn't want to go through all the taunts and teases; the things he'd done to homosexuals in the past.
Philophobia- Fear of falling in love or being in love.
Getting married and having a family has never been the "Big Picture" for Claude's life. If anything, he hope he never does. He doesn't mind the physical parts of a relationship, but the emotional side of it all has him troubled. Claude does not see himself to be a sentimental person by any means. He hopes to be an unmarried man for all of his life-- and that's a key fact that helps to break up most of his relationships, if he ever gets to the point of telling the girl he's with his ideals.

& the good
Good Friend/Lover
Claude rarely gets close to another person intimately but when he does, he is often caring and protective of that person. The same goes for friendships. It is not always easy for Claude to make friends with anyone, but when he does, he would make excuses to be near to them. Claude may act reserved, but often he wants not to be.
Determined
Claude didn't make it into Eddingborough just through his parents financial aid. He can often be careless with his school work, math in particular, but in his English classes, he strives to do his best.... depending on the day. If he would get his act together with his math classes, maybe he'd be in a better state than he is.

Writing & Music
If nothing else, Claude can always find a way to express himself through writing and music. He doesn't write song lyrics or anything, but he can crack out a rhyme or two. Music can always take over his mind if he's stressed. When he listens to music or has music on the brain though, its nearly impossible for him to focus. His entire mind will be spent on following each beat and lyric as his fingers tap to the beat.

& the ugly
Insecure[/b]
Claude likes to play it off that he is as confident and collected as any guy at Eddingborough, but let's be honest. Claude has never considered himself to be handsome or even a consolation prize to any girl. In most of his relationships, he's had to rely on extravagant gifts and phenomonal sex. Otherwise, Claude would feel like he'd lose the girl, yet again. Even with writing, which he's been told before is a true work, he cannot believe. Humans lie and in any case, they lie to him. Claude has never been trusting.
Alcohol[/i]
Since he became a teenager, Claude has always been around a drink of some type. Both of his parents drank and so it was always easy to sneak a beer or a glass of wine without their notice. When Claude is drunk he is irrational and irresponsible. He does dares which he later regrets, such as the tattoo on his back. Since he got it such a young age from by illegal means, he always had to hide it at home. It was not always a hard task. But, once his step-mother did find out, he was given more hell than he could handle. Now, more than just a sign of stupidity and resentment of his parents, it's a brand of pain.
talents
Literature[/b]
As stated before, Claude has always had a real knack for English. He doesn't particularly love to read, but he can read well. He's read the classics, such as Shakespeare and others, and most of the time understood what was being said. He also writes his own compositions, but he doesn't believe them to be of value.
Quick Thinker
In panic situations, Claude most of the time can manage to remain calm and rational. In fact, during panic situations, that is normally the only time when he is responsible for others, even strangers, around him.
Clever[/b]
Claude can be clever and witty when he wants to be. He especially is (On the verge of smart-assness with that), when he wants something strongly enough. But many would also say that Claude is just an ass when he wants to be.

past
Family membersClaude has his Biological Mother, MaryAnne, whom is deceased. He has his Biological Father, Thomas Clark. Lucky him, also has his step mother Connie who absolutely hates him. And, of the three kids they have, he's of course, the misfit. There's Daiton, his half brother who is only a month older than him. Then, there are his older half sisters, Jane and Ashley.
Hometown Miami, Florida
History Claude's past is...difficult, for him to talk about. Well, it would be for anyone, if your birthday was a day that was purposely forgotten, rather celebrated. Claude, was a product of an affair.
MaryAnne Kepp, was the standard tramp around Miami Florida. And, it wasnt too long until she was finally cursed for her efforts. Claude was born on April 25th, 1991. Just, his birth wasnt public, wasnt celebrated. He was lucky he didnt end up abandoned, though he had to say he'd rather it. He never met his father until his nine, because that was the only time that his father knew of his existance. MaryAnne died, giving birth to yet another infidelity. So, when he was nine, he was shipped off to live with the Clarks, but always kept his mother's last name. He'd already gone by it for so long. And, of course, he never knew of the flat out truth. He didnt think of his mother as someone to block out of his mind. Her being helped shape him, even though times were often rough. Her passing, even though it was due to another under-the-rug act, hurt him. He didnt want to come and live with these people he never met. He'd rather tough it out on his own, or die trying. But, some parts werent all terrible. He and his brother at first hit it off really well, or as well as being step brothers could be. Eventually, the walked seperate paths, which Claude was more than used to.
He can easily describe his step mother in one word, one of which he's never used much, considering he rarily cursed at home. He was the let down to her and his father's social status. Served them right to be kicked down, or so Claude thought. He was pushed to the hardest, but Claude had never been unaquainted to hard work. He often kept to himself, locking himself away from his family whenever possible. As many would assume, he was none too eager to accept new people into his life after gaining an entire family he never knew before.
As far as his relationship with his brother, at some points, it couldnt've been stronger. They'd gone through thick and thin, Daiton sticking up for Claude, and vice versa. Honestly, Claude had grown used to having Daiton as his soul friend. What else could've been expected, from two boys, complete strangers yet so close in age? But, one thing that clearly defined them both, was that Daiton was his complete and utter opposite. Each day that he and his brother played or fought together only reminded him ever so much of the saying "Opposites Attract". But, it can get to a point where complete opposites, can break one or the other. Teen years rolled on through, bringing the horrible effects of puberty. Ah, yes, puberty. What a lovely time of life. Daiton shot up, attracting the most attention. Claude at first didnt think of it much, until it started winning Daiton some things he could never accomplish. Girls. Claude hated to admit it, even to himself, but sometimes he truly hated his brother and best friend for it. To be simple, he was flat out disgusted by it. But, he'd found another friend, alcohol.
As Daiton branched out, getting any girl he could ever want, Claude shut down. He'd rather shut up, than to tick off his former friend. Daiton could kick his ass now. He stuck to his studies, as he'd always done. It came to the point, that he was actually an acknowledged exsistance to his father and step mother. At first, being recognized gave him a certain thrill. He'd never tried much to rise to his parents' level of expectations. But, it was short lived. He was soon sent off to Eddingborough just to keep up his family's appearance. He didnt consider himself "prestigious" in the least. He found his way out in less than a year. But, there was certainly no way that his parents were going to let him off that easily. To his large disliking, he was yet again shunned away to Eddingborough School for Boys.
