Alright, so this is the roleplay between Seb/Dasi/Akel. P: oh, baby. -----------------
Pale, pale blue eyes stared sadly at a piece of broccoli on Akel Brehm-Stetcher's plate, and he felt more alone than ever.
For the past forty minutes or so, he had been sitting, by himself, at a table in the cafeteria with nothing for company but a tray of food that he couldn't even taste, couldn't even smell.
Because, he had seen Dasi, and oh god he wanted to see him again.
Curling forward a bit in his seat, silky hair brushing against his cheek and tickling the smooth skin there, he struggled to remember the last happy time they had been together. It was...the school play, he thought. Or was it the Christmas party? No, the school play.
Dasi had been in it, playing the serious person he always was when people didn't know him well. Akel had been waiting backstage, behind the curtain, now and again peeking out to see the dark-haired male do a stunning performance in the Pride and Prejudice play. Then it ended, and then they were in the dress-up-room, groping like they couldn't get enough of each other and wildly trying to take off as much clothing as quick as they could.
And, blinking the memory out of his eyes, Akel realized that he had been staring at the salad on his plate for over five minutes.
Biting down on his lip harshly, his hands took to the awful habit of wringing together, even as he looked as if he were about to expire on the spot. Yes, Akel had been the one to destroy the relationship. He had been the one who ran off with other boys, leaving Dasi waiting outside of his house for hours, not caring about him. But karma really was a bitch - the second they agreed to separate, to go their own ways...he immediately wished he could either die in a ditch, or get Dasi back.
Which, of course, seemed impossible now.
Shifting the weight on his bottom, there was nothing more to it as he suddenly seemed to perk up at the thought of, maybe, somehow getting back into the dark-haired male's good graces. Was the other even going to talk to him? Look at him? After their old school, he had found out that the other had moved somewhere, and had set on the task of getting into Eddingborough. But fate seemed to be incredibly cruel to the poor brunette as he slumped further in his seat, chin eventually coming to meet the faux wood patterns of the lunch table's surface. If only Dasi would just listen to him, instead of being so upset! If only he hadn't been so incredibly stupid. Sighing, his cheek seemed cooled by the plastic against his face.
If only.

Since trying to join a conversation in the library, Sebastien was a little apprehensive to butting in. He hadn't meant to be rude (really, if Seb had meant to be rude, it would be quite obvious), but somehow his attempt at humor and friendliness was misconstrued as ... what? He couldn't even describe the look those boys gave him when he sat down at the library table.
People must've been talking already. He grinned. He didn't mind people talking about him.
Still, though, he was hungry and the idea of sitting alone and listening to himself chew wasn't the most inviting one. He needed someone to prove that Dasi wasn't the representation of the entire Eddingborough population. If he didn't meet someone bearable soon... He had to find somewhere to sit.
He wasn't going to lie -- when faced with a cafeteria full of boys, and liberty to sit where ever he wished, Sebastien usually gravitated to the more attractive people. Not with any intention of hitting on them, 'getting in their pants' (god, he hated that phrase) or anything of that nature. It was just a natural instinct he couldn't deny.
Attractive people were simply easier to be around, like a nice piece of wall art in your living room. Pleasant to look at.
He noticed a boy sitting alone at a table in the far corner. Alone and miserable looking. A good combination for several reasons. Such people were easy. Easy to intrude on, to deal to, and definitely easy to waltz up to and occupy the chair across from.
Seb did just that, about the time the boy slumped in his chair and pressed his face to the table.
"Hope I'm not interrupting anything," he said, a little awkwardly, but through a grin. "Some deep meditation, maybe?"

Sighing, Akel simply couldn't stand the thought of food anymore...then again, he also couldn't bring himself to pry his face off of the lunch table. And so he sat there, feeling worse and worse, until he even felt the stinging prickle of something wet at the corners of his eyes. Shit, he thought in a panicked sort of way as he tried hastily to think of happy things. Dogs. Puppies. Sex...sex with Dasi? No, it only made the tears threaten to overflow. No, what he would do in college. Photography. Politics. Anything but that beautiful, quiet boy who didn't give a fuck about him-
"Hope I'm not interrupting anything."
Eyes flying open, at worst slightly watery, Akel hurriedly tried to sit up and thankfully was able to get his cheek off of the faux wood without too much pain. Who was talking to him now? Could it be...Dasi?
But, of course, his heart plummeted as he saw that it was just a stranger.
Not even able to pull up a pretty smile to cover his face, he instead gave a pitiful sniffle that almost sounded comical. "Sort of," he admitted in his usual soft tone. In the back of his mind, he was thankful that talking to someone who wasn't him made the tears now go back to wherever they came from.
"But I'm kind of happy that you interrupted it," he added with a sudden small grin, tired but grateful. "So...thanks."

Oh, yeesh. Seb hadn't been expecting tears. He paused, slightly taken aback by both the mood the boy was in, and by the words he'd spoken. This was probably the first time anyone was grateful for Sebastien since he'd arrived.
He scooted his chair in, resting his forearms on the table.
Sebastien always had to gauge a situation before entering it, before acting, before speaking. There were several ways he could go about his. Before him sat a boy, obviously fragile, a bit emotionally thrown, and lonely.
Trying for sex was out of the question. As much as that was Sebastien's favorite pasttime, preying on someone like this really cheapened the beauty of it all. Sex was supposed to bloom from something else. Not from whatever sleeze Sebastien could lay on at the moment.
Supposing that Seb was trying to go the 'nice' route (which would obviously be the correct response to the boy's grateful smile), it was also out of the question to make any sort of joke about the fact that he was so obviously shook up about something.
Finally, he decided he was going to play it nice.
"Are you okay?" he asked quietly, as to not direct attention from the tables around him. "I noticed you sitting over here, and you looked really upset."
So that was half-true. What would've been absolutely true to say would've been, I noticed you sitting over here, and you looked really hot. But that would've defeated his purpose.
"I'm Sebastien, by the way." By way of introduction, he reached over and touched the boy's hand lightly in greeting.

Akel was quite taken aback by how kind Sebastien was being to him.
But he didn't say anything, not for a moment - choosing instead to nervously bite down on his lip, a habit that always showed he was either miserable or thinking about something.
Finally, however, he chose to speak.
"Sebastien...like that crab thing from the Little Mermaid?"
The name nevertheless put a smile on his face, a weak one that seemed shaky but was nevertheless present. Well, at least he was trying. It was better than sitting here mooning over...over...
"Uh," he said hastily, the name of that male who he had tried so desperately to forget threatening to overcome him again, "I'm Akel. Akel Brehm-Stetcher." In response to the light touch on his hand, he lifted it and awkwardly but rather humorously shook the other's hand in a surprisingly strong grip.
When he was pulling back, his mood seemed to lift as he found himself seeming to be able to attract attention so 'casually' here within the first four days of school or so. The ache from being turned away by him seemed to now be a distant pain, replaced instead by the desire to meet and converse with new people. "And I'm kind of upset because of...uhm...w-well..." how could he put it, really? Without saying the boy's actual name.
Briefly closing his eyes, pretending like he didn't even say it, his mouth blurted out the quick words of 'my-ex-boyfriend-dasi-you-know-haha' before he shut it again, opening his eyes and finding to his relief that no tears wanted to come.

It would be tough for Sebastien to keep to his no-touch rule. He always forced himself to remain civil when someone was so obviously upset, but... well. He leveled his gaze, taking in the boy before him. Vulnerable boys were always tempting, and always threatened Sebastien's conscience.
After the boy had gripped his hand in greeting, Sebastien tucked his own hand back into the fold of his elbow and leaned comfortably on his forearms.
As Akel struggled to spit out whatever it was that was bothering him, Seb opened his mouth to playfully ask, "Boy troubles?" But the question was unneeded, and left unspoken as Akel finally admitted everything in a rush.
It took a lot of control to hide the smile the desperately wanted to creep onto Seb's full lips. Dasi? His obnoxious roommate was the one who had this poor boy's panties tied in a knot?
Oh, the temptation was just too much. Seb wasn't sure how long he'd be able to stand by his morals now that he knew who Akel was pining after.
"Dasi, huh? My roommate?" he asked, cocking his head to the side. "Well, I'm sorry, Akel --" He dropped off, allowing himself to look like he'd suddenly come to a realization. "Akel?" he repeated again, feigning shock. "You're Akel? God, he talks about you all the time. I didn't expect you to be so..." He lifted his eyebrows lightly, allowing a soft smile to come over his mouth, completely abandoning his no-flirting rule, "cute."

Akel debated on whether or not this was simply just a prank. Should he just up and go? Stay where he was? Move on and towards the doorway, maybe try to find him again? The questions swirled around the poor boy’s head, confusing him for a moment as Sebastien spoke.
“He’s your roommate?” the tone of his voice sounded wistful, and the smile toned down quite a bit. “What’s he—he—“
But he sputtered to a halt as the next words registered.
Pale eyes widening, almost comically wide, his jaw seemed to sag just a bit in utter disbelief as he stared at the other male. Finally, after a moment of uncertainty as a mixture of emotions raged through his body—joy, bitterness, flattery—he seemed to sit straight up in his seat as he tried to get his vocal cords to work.
“What does he…what does he say about me?” He tried to make it sound oh-so-casual, but it almost came out like a plead—like he would do anything to get the answer he wanted. But the next words confused him. “Wait,” he managed to breathe out, voice much quieter as he leaned towards Sebastien—mindful that there were people around them—“What do you mean, you didn’t think I was ‘this cute’? Did he…say that I was ugly or something?” worry now clutched at his stomach, and once more Akel seemed to silently demonstrate just how powerfully he could feel any emotion at any given time—especially and most certainly when it involved Dasi.
