It’s a typical carnival: fun, excitement and trouble. And just so you know, trouble comes in one form: Johnny Paige.
There is a long history here at Eddingborough, an unspoken war between the local kids in town and those privileged snobs that go to that “Stuck-up school” on the hill. Some years it seems as if all animosity is forgotten, but it only takes one thing to trigger the hate and once more the battle begins. Unfortunately for Eddingborough boys, the local’s have been itching for an excuse for a good fight and the little rascal second year provided it perfectly. Well, he’s the excuse anyway.
For weeks, there have been harsh words exchanged, but nothing so physical has happened in the town or in the school between the two warring sides: but the carnival has always provided a most excellent setting for something a lot less cheerful. A kind of ‘Middle-ground’ if you will, though hosted on the schools sprawling grounds most people find it common territory between the two. Here, there are plenty of places to hide, make a stand and plenty of people who will be on one side, or another.
In this roleplay, Johnny Paige (Player: Twiff) will instigate first post, and everyone is free to join afterwards – temping as locals, fighting alongside the second year or betraying him to the mob. Teachers can always be useful in handing out detentions and breaking up fights, but maybe after some of the fun has run its course!
So let the games begin!
