The blond stood there staring up at the sky. It was dark and beautiful and pleasing to the eye. He hadn't been able to actually sleep most of the night so instead of sitting around the dorm waiting for the sun to pop out he had decided to go out for an early morning walk. The blue eyes were a dull grey in the dim light cast by the stars and moon above. It was hard to distinguish any colour really.
The boy pulled the leather jacket closer to his body to keep the warmth in. He wore just a plain t-shirt under the coat, and his jeans as always fit snugly against him. He wasn't ready to put on his school uniform just yet. After all why wear it when you aren't forced to? I mean who wants to wander around in the restricting suit all morning long?
Tristan shook his head a sigh escaping his lips. It was too early for breakfast, to early to do anything really. What it had to be close to five in the morning? If not before. Unlike up in his dorm Tristan felt more relaxed out in the open... It wasn't that the dorm was too small or anything. He was just afraid to really hang around his room mate. After all it wasn't easy to get along with the other boy. It was awkward.
Tirstan leaned against a tree and closed his eyes thinking things through in his mind. He was trying to replace things in the room, well from what he could remember of the room, to make it look more comfortable and cozy. It wasn't easy to admit it but Tristan had a secret passion. He loved to design and decorate rooms. What had started out as his mother's job had transfered into his hobby. Often his room would change on a monthly, even weekly basis. Of course no one knew of this secret hobby. I mean if you saw someone like him, a tan, blond haired, baby blue eyed, surfer boy, you wouldn't exactly think 'decorating'. That was something you would think of when you thought of a... well a gay guy.
Tristan shuddered at the thought of being considered the same as them. He felt concern lace his features. Wait a minute... Just how many guys around here were gay? He shook his head. Oh god dare he think about it? That would be just too frightening. He felt like he would have to call his father up to get him out of there right away.
He shook his head. No he wouldn't be allowed to escape this place that easily. He felt the worry bubbling up even stronger inside him. What would he do if one of them actually... hit on him or something? Oh god frightening thought. Tristan shuddered turning his eyes to stare up at the colourful leaves that were barely noticeable in the dull shades cast from the night.
Tristan was already regretting the fact that his mother had sent him here. This would be just plain torture for him. He closed his eyes tight making a mental wish to get out of this place unscathed.

Sebastien knew he shouldn't have worn his uniform, but hell, he aimed to please. Sometimes. And if some girl -- some beautiful, funny, flexible girl -- had asked him to wear his uniform, then of course he was going to do it. It'd been worth it. The only thing he was regretting about it now was that he'd have to do laundry before classes the next day. No way was his wrinkled, smelling-like-sex-and-smoke uniform going to cut it for all the hoity-toity prestige of Eddingborough.
And a lazy guy like Sebastien hated laundry. But he hated looking like a rumpled mess more.
On his trek back onto school grounds (technically, it couldn't even be called sneaking out, since classes hadn't even started yet), Seb tugged at his tie to loosen it. His once ironed white shirt was halfway unbuttoned and gaping at the collar, and Seb knew he looked like a wreck.
But it had been worth it. It would always be worth it, no matter what the stakes were, to risk everything. Not just for sex. It wasn't just about sex. It was about the feeling of connecting, sharing, experiencing physical bliss with another person. It was so easy to feel good, so easy to make another person feel good. It was more than just sex. More than just a few grunts and a release.
Sex was Sebastien's religion. If only more people shared his view. So many people (if they knew his habits) saw him as some kind of whore. But he wasn't. He couldn't put into clear enough words how much he wasn't. He didn't sleep with a girl and leave. He wasn't a jerk, wasn't an asshole, didn't get someone really drunk beforehand.
He always made sure everything went perfectly. Made everyone he was with understand exactly what a great thing sex was.
He didn't see anything wrong with it as long as it meant something, everytime. And it always did. It was never meaningless.
It just happened a hell of a lot.
He yawned widely, vaguely wondering why he hadn't looked for sex somewhere closer to his dorm. At least then, he could avoid the walk in. But the girl -- Bethany was her name, Seb always knew the name, first and last, knew as much as he could, connected as much as he could -- she was wonderful. Well worth the walk.
As he neared the school, a flicker of movement caught his eyes. A figure, somewhere to his left. Alone. Sebastien (never worried of social boundaries or awkward situations) changed his course and headed instead in his direction.
"Hey," he called out in a friendly tone, deciding he'd released all his asshole energy on his roommate earlier. "You're up and about a bit late. Er, or is it early? I lost track."

Tristan hadn't noticed the other boy closing in while his eyes were screwed shut. But the voice had been enough to make him jump out of his thoughts and nearly jump out of his skin. He stared in shock for a few seconds. "It's five in the morning..." He muttered watching closely. A better question would have been what this other boy was doing out so early, with his uniform on.
"I'm out for a walk." He muttered finally answering the question. It wasn't easy for most people to tell but the boy, Tristan, who was usually the life of a party wasn't very social. This showed more often around people he didn't know than people he did. He pulled away from the tree with ease.
"What are you doing out so early?" He asked wrinkling his nose. When the man had got close enough he could smell the awkward scent on the air. It wasn't very appealing but he didn't really care. He was too curious as to what this guy was doing... Even more curious as too who he was.
Tristan took a few steps toward him holding out his hand. Might as well introduce himself right?
"Tristan." He said in a greeting fashion.
The blue eyes continued to take in the man's disheveled appearance. Okay add that on top of the smell and now he was really curious.
Tristan of course had always been a ladies man... But had enough sense to stop before things got past groping and the heated kissing. He was... Well to say the least, inexperienced with sex.
Of course he knew he was straight. After all a bi, or gay wouldn't be homophobic now would he? Well unless your father had drilled it into your head so long and so hard that being gay was a bad thing. Then it may have been just a little understandable.
Tristan however was pretty positive that he was as straight as they get. Of course some guys at this school... Well the same couldn't be said for them. And Tristan would do his best to stay away from those crowds. Well he would try the best he could. He didn't want his father disappointed in him after all.
Though truth was his father was already disappointed having a son who was a 'pansy' as he put it. After all only 'pansy's' take a unhealthy interest in decorating. Those were his father's words not his. He had over heard the argument between both his parents while they discussed their one and only child. Him.

Sebastien extended his hand in response, sliding his fingers delicately across the boys palm before locking in the grip. The gesture was barely noticable, but those who had noticed it often told him that the light touch before the firm squeeze was a pleasant surprise. Something small and unexpected. He loved throwing a little je ne sais quoi into everything he did.
"Sebastien," he returned. After he dropped his hand, he rested them both casually into his pockets and glanced around the night. He felt a tad let down that Tristan's reason for wandering around wasn't more interesting. Just talking a walk. Well, he did agree it'd be a nice night (morning? He hadn't even slept yet) for a walk. Maybe he'd enjoy it more if he wasn't exhausted.
Tristan seemed nice enough -- at least, better than his whining, stripper of a roommate. He appraised the boy, wondering whether to answer the boys question truthfully. He could tell him exactly what he'd been doing -- who he'd been doing -- in all its glorious detail. But that'd just be crude. He didn't want to turn it into something tasteless and juvenile. He doubted that this Tristan person, whoever he was, would understand.
He shrugged slightly with a secretive smile. "Just been with someone special," he said truthfully, although he was pretty sure he'd never see Bethany again.

Tristan was surprised at the light brush of skin against his palm before the firm grip. Surprised, and majorly confused though he didn't say anything about it. Instead ha gave a faint smile. "Nice to meet you." He spoke with a calm warmth.
Someone special? Tristan had been slightly thrown by the secretive look that had went along with his words. Okay then.... He should his head. "You mean you snuck out?" He questioned. He wasn't a stickler for the rules or anything, he just hadn't expected anyone to be sneaking out already. After all they hadn't even been there a full day now.
He leaned back against the tree thinking over the words 'someone special'. That usually was what his friends said about the girls they were with. "You mean a girl?" He asked almost hopefully as he gave off a perky, relieved vibe through his body language.
'Please say yes. Please say yes.' He pleaded inwardly. If the boy said yes then he wouldn't have to worry about being the only straight guy here and that would be a bigger relief than anything else that could happen at this school. And maybe he would finally be able to make at least one friend.

Sebastien saw the slightest twitch in the way the boy had responded; he'd noticed the little extra something. Good. He gave a small satisfied smile, though not all too sure whether Tristan had enjoyed it or not.
Well, obviously he'd enjoyed it. If Tristan thought otherwise, it was only because he didn't understand that he had enjoyed it. People always stifled the petty enjoyments rather than induldged in them.
It was all sexual politics. Such things made Sebastien roll his eyes.
He nodded in response to his question. "She was gorgeous," he commented. "Lives really close to campus, and I told her I was in town, so..." He gave a roguish grin.
"Wasn't sneaking out though," he said. "I hate that phrase -- sneaking out. It's like 'breaking rules'. You can't break rules if you don't acknowledge them. And you can't sneak out if you don't lock yourself in."

Tristan wasn't sure what to think of what the guy was saying but finally decided he did have a point. After all it did make enough sense he supposed.
The nod of his head was enough of a yes to nearly make the boy jump for joy. "So you're not gay?" He asked happily. He knew it wasn't the best conversation starter but still he had to know before he went any further with this conversation.
"But if you don't acknowledge the rules then how do you live in a society that won't tear itself apart?" He asked raising an eyebrow. After all rules and laws were created for a reason, right? And if everyone started breaking them there would be mass chaos.

Oh, so he was one of those boys. This could be interesting. Several options flickered across Sebastien's mind -- one involving keeping this boy talking to him, the other which would probably send him flying. Both equally entertaining, but one held a promise of longevity.
He grinned. Tristan wasn't going to last long at Eddingborough with that attitude. "No, I'm not gay," he said truthfully. Well, he wasn't. He wasn't straight, or gay, or bisexual, or any other annoying label people tried to force on themselves to feel secure. Sebastien enjoyed people, all people. Liked to touch and be touched. Wasn't that enough?
"Don't get me wrong. I'm not one of those obnoxious people who are all about fucking the authority," he said shrugging. "Some people go out of their way to break rules, just to show they can. It's kind of pathetic. Me? I just ... do what I want. I'm not trying to make some statement."

Tristan nodded with a bit of relief. "That's good..." Tristan almost felt the blush of embarrassment. He just hoped the guy didn't think of him as a sexist... Though his kinda was in a way. But that's not what he wanted to be known for.
"Then why do it if you aren't trying to make a statement?" He asked continuing to watch Sebastien for a few seconds longer at least the guy was truthful. He could sense that well enough. He pulled away from the tree stretching the stiff muscles in his back.
"Just doing what you want isn't going to allow people to remember you that much in years from now." He stated in a matter of fact type tone.

Sebastien laughed, more for the fact that Tristan seemed genuinely relieved that he wasn't 'gay' than anything, but he passed it off as a response to his second comment. "Everyone is so wrapped up in what people think of them," he said. Why should he bother making a statement? What did he care what people thought of him years from now? He wasn't out to make a statement, or an impression. Sebastien did what was enjoyable, did what was fun. Instant gratification. What fun was life otherwise?
It annoyed him when people did everything for other people. They did tricks, stepped out of line, spoke against the crowd -- all good, respectable things -- but they turned it into something lesser, and rotten, by doing it only for the reactions of other people. If people were going to do things, they should do it for themselves. He wasn't sure how to explain this to Tristan.
"Everything I do," he said simply, "I do for pleasure."

"For pleasure..." Tristan never really thought of doing things for pleasure. It was always something to please his parents, or get his friends to notice him, or think him cool. But you know if you asked Tristan the defintion of cool he wouldn't really be able to give you an answer.
Tristan had spent his life trying to be what other people thought was cool, he had never really given much thought to what he personally thought was cool or not though this guy seemed pretty close to what he would imagine as cool.
"That's interesting." He added after a few seconds thinking about it a bit longer. Tristan shifted at the laughter trying to ignore it though it was hard. What had he found so funny?

"Interesting?" Seb said, raising his eyebrows. He'd never thought of it as 'interesting'. It was just how he lived his life.
He cocked his head to the side and gauged the boy's reaction. It mystified him that the whole Live For Pleasure thing seemed like such a foreign concept to Tristan. Was it really so unusual to try and live your life in a way that was enjoyable to you?
"What other way is there to live?" he joked. "Don't tell me you're trying to please someone else besides yourself?"

Tristan nodded. "Yes interesting." He repeated with a bit of a shrug. Was there something wrong with finding the other boy's life interesting? Well more the way he lived since he didn't know about Sebastian's history.
He could feel Sebastian's eyes burning holes into him as if he could see past the skin and right to his emotions. He shifted awkwardly. Before glancing away at the question. "There's living the way you were brought up to be." He said before kicking at the dirt.
"Yes I do what I can to please my parents." He said finally looking up again. It was true. Tristan loved his parents too much to cause them worry. And he liked how they acted when they were proud of him. Well his mother always seemed proud though his father was a little harder to please.

"Whatever works for you, I guess," he said. Seb wasn't the type of guy to preach to others how to live their life. He could understand what it meant to want to please your parents, anyway. Growing up with parents like his, who gave him everything he wanted, it was the least he could do to show up to their stupid parties, and act like a well rounded gentleman. Sure, he did things they would hate, but he did it without them finding out, and he figured that was good enough.
"So. You're a people pleaser, don't have enough fun, and hate gays," he stated matter-of-factly. "I feel like I know you already."

Tristan could feel his face heat at Sebastien's words. "Think what you want." He grumbled. Well he was wrong not exactly 'friend' material even if he was striaght.
Quickly the boy stuffed his hands into his leather jacket before turning and beginning to stalk away. The guy didn't have to sound so rude about it. Instead of getting into an argument as a normal guy would've he decided just to walk away giving a 'hmph' as he did.
He paused for a second. Where was he going to go now? He didn't want to go back and wake Albin up. And no doubt a lot of area's in the school would still be locked up with the time of morning it was. Oh well he could just find another tree in another location. There were countless ones around the school yard.
